It is no secret that handmade products require more time and energy to put together that do mass-produced factory goods. Designers and creators of these commodities go through a series of steps that consumers of their products do not even know. They apply their expertise and know-how of the craft to produce the readymade commodity that we then buy. These products are formed as a result of these crafters putting in their time and energy. Because of this, handcrafted goods should be seen differently in the market.
The human touch is what gives them so much value. That is why, when we find these products in the market we must make sure to give them the attention they warrant. Even more, we should give the makers of these products the credit they deserve. The way that the products are judged, as compared to other products, should be seen in terms of the effort of the producers; as should their value. But admiration is not the only thing these producers deserve; they are worth a lot more. In addition to recognizing their talent and hard work, they should be properly compensated and rewarded. In doing so, we give this community of people the justice they deserve and constantly earn.
